About Dolo-Neurobión Forte DC
Dolo-Neurobión Forte DC (Doble Cámara) is a Mexican injectable pain reliever that combines diclofenac sodium (an anti-inflammatory, NSAID), lidocaine (a local anesthetic that makes the shot less painful) and the B vitamins thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (B6) and cyanocobalamin (B12). It comes as one prefilled double-chamber syringe of 3 mL with a sterile disposable needle, for intramuscular use.
In Mexico it is widely used for short-term relief of pain and inflammation such as low back pain, sciatica, neuralgia and muscle or joint pain. This combination is made for the Mexican market and is not sold as such in the United States. It must be injected by a health professional.
What it is used for
Short-term relief of pain and inflammation: low back pain, sciatica, neuritis and neuralgia.Muscle and joint pain when a doctor prefers an intramuscular injection.
Important information
It is an injection: it must be applied intramuscularly by a doctor, nurse or trained pharmacy staff; do not self-inject without training.Do not use it if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or other NSAIDs, to lidocaine or to vitamin B12 (cobalt).
Like other NSAIDs, diclofenac can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding and kidney problems, and can raise the risk of heart attack and stroke. Avoid it if you have an active ulcer, kidney or liver disease, heart failure, or recent heart bypass surgery.
Tell your doctor if you take blood thinners, other pain relievers, blood-pressure medicines or lithium.
Do not use it during pregnancy (especially the last trimester) or while breastfeeding unless a doctor says so.
This Mexican combination product is not sold as such in the U.S.
Bringing it into the U.S.: travelers can generally carry up to a 90-day supply for personal use, in the original packaging, declared at the border and backed by a valid prescription. Rules can change; check U.S. CBP before you travel.
