How we rank dental clinics
We score the digital footprint of 2,204+ dental clinics across 20 cities on a single, public 0–100 scale — a free, independent ranking that no clinic can pay to influence.
What is a digital footprint?
Your digital footprint is the trail your clinic leaves online — the reviews patients write, your star rating, your website, your social-media profiles, your photos and your verified business listings. It’s the single best public proxy for how established, transparent and trusted a clinic is. For someone traveling abroad for dental care, a clinic with a deep, consistent footprint is far easier to vet before booking — and far lower risk.
The 0–100 score
Every clinic is measured on the same seven public signals. We never add manual or paid adjustments.
- 🗣️ Review volume (log-scaled, caps ~1,000)35
- ⭐ Average rating22
- 📱 Social-media presence13
- 🌐 Professional website12
- 📸 Photos on Google10
- ✅ Profile completeness5
- 🔒 Verified Google Business Profile3
Why review volume is log-scaled
A clinic with 1,500 reviews shouldn’t automatically crush one with 200. Log-scaling rewards a strong review base without letting sheer size erase quality — so rating, website, social reach and a complete profile can lift a smaller, excellent clinic above a bigger one.
How we verify the data
- Pulled from public Google Business profiles, refreshed monthly.
- De-duplicated by Google place ID.
- Non-clinics and permanently-closed places removed.
- Social links confirmed on each clinic’s own website.
Free, independent, and we mean it
No pay-to-rank
No clinic pays to be listed or to move up. There is no hidden “sponsored” slot. Unlike most dental-tourism directories, we don’t sell placement.
Every clinic counts
We rank all clinics a city has on Google — not a curated, pay-to-enter “Top 10.”
Full transparency
Clinics we work with are openly tagged CLIENT and ranked by the same formula — never bumped up.
Tracked over time
Each monthly scan is stored, so rankings show whether a clinic is rising (↑) or falling (↓).
A note on what the score is — and isn’t
A higher score means a stronger, more transparent and more trusted online presence. It’s a powerful signal of an established, accountable clinic — but it is not a clinical judgment of the dentistry itself. Always pair it with your own consultation, questions about credentials, and a treatment plan you understand. Molar City is a referral platform; we connect patients with clinics but do not provide dental care directly.
