The short answer
An All-on-4 full arch in Ho Chi Minh City is estimated at $5,000 to $9,000 USD per arch, compared with roughly $20,000 to $30,000 in the US, and below the Thai and Malaysian ranges. It replaces a full upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed bridge on four implants and normally takes two trips. Because this is major surgery and the savings are large, it is the treatment where vetting the clinic matters most.
What All-on-4 involves
All-on-4 is for people who have lost most or all teeth in a jaw, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved. Failing teeth are removed, four implants are placed, the back two often angled to use available bone, and a fixed bridge of about 10 to 14 teeth is attached. The bridge is not removed at home. Some clinics use five or six implants; the right number comes from your scan and bite, not from a package name.
Full-arch costs in Ho Chi Minh City
| Item | Ho Chi Minh City (USD) | Typical US price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| All-on-4 full arch (per arch) | $5,000 – $9,000 | $20,000 – $30,000 |
| Surgical extraction (per tooth) | $50 – $150 | $300 – $800 |
| Bone graft (if needed) | $200 – $450 | $800 – $3,000 |
| Full denture (alternative, per arch) | $250 – $500 | $1,500 – $2,000 |
What the quote must include
Full-arch quotes vary more than any other dental price, often because they include different things. Before comparing, make sure each quote states:
- The implant brand and system, and the number of implants.
- Extractions, bone grafting and any sinus work.
- The temporary bridge fitted after surgery.
- The final bridge and its material: acrylic on a metal frame, or zirconia.
- Scans, sedation and all review visits.
- Warranty terms and what happens if an implant fails to integrate.
A quote that leaves out the final bridge, or treats zirconia as a large add-on, can end up close to a more expensive quote that included it.
The timeline
- Before travel. Send a CBCT scan or panoramic X-ray and photos; get a written plan, price and schedule.
- Trip one, about 7 to 10 days. Consultation, extractions, implant placement and usually a fixed temporary bridge within a few days, then a review before flying.
- Healing, typically three to six months. Soft diet at first, then careful normal eating.
- Trip two, about 5 to 10 days. Scans, try-ins and the final bridge with bite adjustments.
Plan both trips before starting, including the visa position for each.
Vetting a full-arch clinic
Ask how many full-arch cases the clinic completes, who does the surgery and who designs the bridge, whether the lab is in-house, and how it handles a broken temporary or an implant failure after you are home. Ask to see the surgeon's practising certificate and the clinic's operating licence. Ask about sedation: who administers it, and what monitoring is in place. A clinic confident in its work answers clearly and in writing. Our ranking, which covers every clinic we can find in the city, is a sensible place to build a shortlist.
All-on-4 or a denture?
A conventional denture costs a fraction of a full arch and needs no surgery, but it is removable, can move while eating and speaking, and does not slow bone loss. Implant-retained overdentures, clipping onto two or more implants, sit between the two. Ask for all three options with prices before deciding.
Recovering in Ho Chi Minh City
Expect swelling and a soft diet for the first days. Choose a hotel or serviced apartment near the clinic, with air-conditioning and easy access to soft food. Vietnamese food is helpful here: noodle soups, rice porridge, steamed tofu and smoothies. Keep outings short and indoors in the first days, avoid alcohol as instructed, and leave the Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta trips for the second visit.
Long-term maintenance
Clean under the bridge daily, usually with a water flosser, and have regular professional check-ups. Take home a record of the implant system, the bridge design and your scans, and line up a dentist at home who is willing to maintain implant work done abroad before you start.
Visas and entry
Vietnam's entry rules depend on your nationality. Some passports are exempt from a visa for short stays, and many travellers apply for an electronic visa through Vietnam's official government portal before flying. The rules have changed several times in recent years, so check the current requirements for your passport on official sources before you book. Use only the official portal: look-alike agency websites charge extra for the same e-visa. If your treatment needs two trips, check the rules for both.
Safety and practicalities
Ho Chi Minh City is a friendly, busy city and most visitors have no serious problems. The best-known risk is phone and bag snatching by thieves on motorbikes, so keep your phone away from the kerb side, carry bags across your body and be discreet with valuables. Traffic is the other everyday hazard: cross streets at a slow, steady pace so riders can flow around you, and use ride-hailing apps or reputable metered taxis rather than unmarked cars. Before you book, read your own government's official travel advice for Vietnam: Smartraveller for Australians, SafeTravel for New Zealanders, the FCDO for UK travellers and the State Department for Americans. Check whether your travel insurance covers complications from elective treatment, because many policies exclude it.
How Molar City fits in
Molar City is an independent dental-tourism platform, not a clinic. We have guided patients since 2007, starting in Los Algodones, Mexico, and we publish a free ranking of every dental clinic we can find in each city we cover. In Ho Chi Minh City that means 131 clinics, scored from their public digital footprint. No clinic can pay for its position, and the prices we publish are city-level estimates, never a quote from one clinic. The figure that counts is the written treatment plan a clinic gives you after examining you or your X-rays.

Frequently asked questions
How much does All-on-4 cost in Ho Chi Minh City?
Estimated at $5,000 to $9,000 USD per arch, depending on the implant system, bridge material and any extractions or grafts.
How long do I need to stay in Saigon for All-on-4?
About a week to ten days for surgery and another one to two weeks months later for the final bridge.
Why are All-on-4 prices so different between clinics?
Mostly because quotes include different things: implant brand, number of implants, grafting and the final bridge material. Compare like for like.
Will I have teeth straight after surgery?
In most All-on-4 cases a fixed temporary bridge is fitted within a few days. Your dentist will confirm whether that applies to you.
