The short answer
An All-on-4 full arch in Kuala Lumpur is estimated at $9,000 to $15,000 USD per arch, compared with roughly $20,000 to $30,000 in the US. The treatment replaces a whole upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed bridge held by four implants. It usually takes two trips: one for surgery and a temporary bridge, and one some months later for the final bridge. It is a major procedure, so this is the treatment where choosing the right clinic matters most.
What All-on-4 is
All-on-4 is a technique for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth in one jaw, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved. Instead of one implant per tooth, the dentist places four implants, the back two often angled to make the most of the available bone, and attaches a fixed bridge of around 10 to 14 teeth. The bridge does not come out at night like a denture. Some clinics use five or six implants for the same purpose, often called All-on-6; whether you need more implants depends on your bone and bite, and it is a question for the dentist who examines your scan.

Ask whether a quote includes extractions, the temporary bridge, the final bridge, scans, sedation and follow-up visits. Quotes that leave out the final bridge, or list it as an optional upgrade, are common sources of surprise.
What changes the price
The final bridge material
The temporary bridge fitted after surgery is usually acrylic. The final bridge can be acrylic on a metal frame, or zirconia, which is stronger and more stain-resistant but costs more. Ask which material your quote includes and what an upgrade costs.
The implant system
As with single implants, the brand affects the price and your long-term options. A recognised system makes future repairs easier wherever you live.
Your bone
Patients with significant bone loss may need grafting or a different approach. A CBCT scan before you travel lets the clinic plan properly and reduces the chance of changes once you arrive.
Sedation
Full-arch surgery is long. Many clinics offer IV sedation or work with an anaesthetist, which may be priced separately. Ask who administers it and where.
The timeline
- Before travel. Send a recent panoramic X-ray or, better, a CBCT scan and photos. The clinic should give you a written plan, the price and the number of days.
- Trip one, about 7 to 10 days. Final consultation, extractions, implant placement and, in most cases, a fixed temporary bridge within a few days. You stay for a check-up before flying home.
- Healing, typically three to six months. You live with the temporary bridge and eat a soft diet at first.
- Trip two, about 5 to 10 days. Scans, try-ins and fitting of the final bridge, with bite adjustments.
Plan the dates of both trips before you start. A full-arch case is not something to rush because a return flight is booked.
Choosing a full-arch clinic
Look for a clinic that does full-arch cases regularly, not occasionally. Ask how many they do, who performs the surgery and who designs the bridge, whether the lab is in-house or external, and how they handle a broken temporary or an implant that fails to integrate. A good clinic will answer these questions without hesitation and put the answers in writing. Confirm the surgeon's registration with the Malaysian Dental Council. Our ranking covers every clinic we can find in the city and is a useful way to build a shortlist before you start asking.
Life after All-on-4
A full-arch bridge needs care. You will clean under it with water flossers or special brushes, and you will need regular check-ups and professional cleanings. Some patients have these done at home, others plan an annual visit back. Ask the clinic what maintenance it recommends and make sure you take home the records your local dentist will need, including the implant system and the bridge design.
Safety and practicalities
Kuala Lumpur is a busy, modern capital and most visitors have no trouble at all. The usual big-city habits apply: watch your phone and bag in crowded areas such as Bukit Bintang and the markets, use ride-hailing apps or official taxis rather than unmarked cars, and keep copies of your passport and treatment plan on your phone. Before you book, read your own government's official travel advice for Malaysia: Smartraveller for Australians, SafeTravel for New Zealanders, the FCDO for UK travellers and the State Department for Americans. Travel insurance that covers medical complications abroad is worth checking carefully, because many standard policies exclude elective treatment.
Kuala Lumpur or elsewhere?
For full-arch work, Bangkok has the largest specialist market in the region and Thai estimates start slightly lower. Ho Chi Minh City quotes lower still. Kuala Lumpur competes on communication and predictability, which count for a lot in a long, multi-visit treatment. If you are weighing cities, compare complete written plans side by side, including the final bridge material, rather than headline prices.
How Molar City fits in
Molar City is an independent dental-tourism platform, not a clinic. We have guided patients since 2007, starting in Los Algodones, Mexico, and we now publish a free ranking of every dental clinic we can find in each city we cover. In Kuala Lumpur that means 130 clinics, scored from their public digital footprint. No clinic can pay for its position, and the prices we publish are city-level estimates, never a quote from one clinic. The quote that counts is the written treatment plan a clinic gives you after examining you or your X-rays.

Frequently asked questions
How much does All-on-4 cost in Kuala Lumpur?
Estimated at $9,000 to $15,000 USD per arch, depending on the implant system, the final bridge material and whether you need extractions or grafts.
How long do I need to stay in Kuala Lumpur for All-on-4?
Roughly a week to ten days for the surgery trip, and another one to two weeks months later for the final bridge.
Will I leave with teeth after surgery?
In most All-on-4 cases a fixed temporary bridge is fitted within a few days of surgery. Your dentist will confirm whether that applies to you.
Is All-on-4 the same as dentures?
No. A denture is removable and rests on the gums. An All-on-4 bridge is fixed to implants and is only removed by the dentist.
Can I have the final bridge made at home?
Possibly, but it is usually simpler for the clinic that placed the implants to complete the case. Discuss it before you start.
